Richard E. Bergeron, CFP®, ChFC®, AEP®
Richard E. Bergeron, CFP®, ChFC®, AEP®, is an award-winning financial consultant with more than 24 years of experience helping to create financial security for his clients and their families.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®), Richard graduated from Rhode Island College with a BA in psychology. Following graduation, he completed nine years of active duty service in the U.S. Army, during which time he received five U.S. Army Commendation Medals and a Bronze Star Medal for Achievement during combat operations as the Operations/Communications Officer for the M1A1-equipped 3-35 Armor Battalion deployed with the 1st Armored Division during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. With an additional six years of service in the Rhode Island Army National Guard, Richard spent more than four years in total as commander of units in both Germany and Rhode Island, retiring at the rank of major in 1999.
A qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, and past president of the Bristol County Estate Planning Council, Richard has built his reputation for excellence on integrity, honesty, and superior understanding of financial planning services. Formerly employed by some of the industry’s leading organizations, he joined MCB Financial Services in 2004, where he provides general and comprehensive financial planning services that create the optimum solution for each client. Richard’s outstanding record of performance has been recognized with him being chosen a “Five Star Wealth Manager” for six consecutive years and being featured in Boston and Rhode Island Monthly magazines.
Richard and his wife, Beatriz, have one son. Richard enjoys fishing, going to the movies, attending rock concerts and NASCAR races, and driving cross-country. Having lived in several locations around the world during his military service, he currently resides in Cumberland, Rhode Island.

David P. Santoro, CFP®, MBA
With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, David helps clients at every stage in life achieve their financial dreams. A lifelong resident of Southeastern Massachusetts, David earned a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, an MBA in finance from Bryant University, and a BA in economics from Framingham State College. A veteran of an 18-month deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom, he served more than 23 years in the military, including 8 years in the Massachusetts National Guard and 15 years in U.S. Army Reserve from which he retired in 2008 with the rank of major.
David’s professional experience has followed an upward trajectory throughout the past 25 years. He started his career at Tucker Anthony & RL Day as a commission’s accountant before moving to MFS Investment Management in 1992. There, he honed his skills in research and analysis as he rose through the ranks from options accountant to quantitative analyst during a period that spanned 11 years. At New York Life Insurance Company, which he joined in 2008, David worked with individuals and small businesses on risk and asset management before transitioning to MCB Financial Services in 2012.
As a member of the MCB Financial Services team, David prides himself on applying a disciplined, consistent, and long-term approach to each person’s financial needs.
David’s commitment to community service has been a lifelong passion. An Eagle Scout, Scout Leader, member of the Narragansett Council BSA board, 2011 and 2014 Ambassador of the Year for the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce, he provides pro bono financial guidance to members of the U.S. military through the Massachusetts Financial Planners Association. David was also selected as 2016 FPA MA pro bono Volunteer of the Year and currently serves on the FPA MA board of directors and is responsible for Community Outreach which works with all the FPA MA pro bono programs.
An avid runner and former track and cross-country coach, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He has completed 64 marathons, including 30 consecutive Boston marathons. David has raised approximately $100,000 for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a qualified participant in the Boston Marathon from 1991 to 2007. Since 2012 David has been a qualified participant running the Boston Marathon to raise funds for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
Katerina joined MCB Financial Services in May 2012 as the office manager. Her role includes overseeing day-to-day operations, working closely with clients, as well as coordinating various events. Prior to MCB Financial Services, Katerina had several positions with Mansfield Bank where she formed strong relationships with many mutual clients. Katerina earned a BS in accounting with a minor in management from Bridgewater State University. She enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
Abbey is currently studying for her bachelor's degree in finance at Stonehill College. Her long-term career goal is to become a financial planner and continue working with MCB Financial. When she’s not working with David Santoro, she’s working as a teller in the Norton branch. In her free time, she enjoys reading, photography, traveling, and spending time with her family.
